Our New Pastor
Senior Pastor Mary Springstead, has served in leadership at the side of Pastor Peggy Smith for 20 years. Pastor Mary is a wealth of God’s Love, to The Tolles Street Mission and the community. Pastor Mary has been a pillar in the ongoing ministry, working in the food pantry, the clothes closet, and prayer warrior at noon day prayer. She serves as Pastor, mentor, board member, food pantry volunteer, speaker and spiritual advisor to the community. Prior in serving the Mission she has been a devoted and spiritual leader for over 40 years. The Tolles Street Mission is blessed to have her as our Senior Pastor and friend. She makes a difference in the lives of those who come to her for help. We honor her for her labor of love to the community.
Assistant Pastor, James Murphy, a dedicated man, called by God, anointed by God to serve God and The Tolles Street Mission. Assistant Pastor James Murphy is a top gun in men’s ministry, inspiring men of all ages and nationalities, empowering them and equipping them to stand in Christian faith becoming leaders in the church, community and family. Leading men to become more aware of mans need for God.
These two pastors, God has chosen to be leaders of The Tolles Street. What a blessing, its one thing to know God is at work in the in the world today. But it’s another thing to see Him at work, that’s the Power of God, working at The Tolles Street Mission.
During our transition, we will inform the community of the Mission’s new leadership with Senior Pastor Mary Springstead and Assistant Pastor James Murphy. Even though these are new appointments, Pastors Springstead and Murphy have been on staff at the Tolles Street Mission for twenty years and have been instrumental in the planning and supervision of the daily community outreach programs.

We are looking forward to a record breaking year in 2010 with many new projects for the city of Nsahua which God has called us to do. With the vision of our founding pastor Peggy Smitrh still burning in our hearts, we will continue with our current outreach programs, food distribution, clothing, holiday outreaches and with our youth outreaches.
Along with the existing programs, we will soon be added a wellness program (including nutrician and obesity control for adults and children), social services for the needy, free blood pressure screening for seniors, extended services for youth (including a literacy program and after school with their homework), and support services for adult men and woman.
As we gain the funds and staff to operate these community-based programs, there are plans for the facelift to our current facilities as we remodel and make room to better service the needs of the community.

Our New Mens Group! Men's Prayer Group (MPG), a "Men Only" devotion and prayer time is offered every Monday evening at 7:00 to help start our week off on the right foot - spiritually. The time assists men in balancing priorities with family, community, business, and faith. We meet in the Worship Center every week - except once per quarter, we enjoy breakfast together after prayer.
